New Beginnings
Hi friends! I started this cleansing diet two weeks ago and I have felt pretty good throughout it. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn how to eat better, find new, healthy recipes, and ultimately "Reset" your body. I have found a few new delicious recipes that I cannot get enough of. Seriously, they are SO good... I am going to post a few of the recipes that I have learned and then I will occasionally blog about what I'm eating. Hopefully you might get some inspiration from these healthy recipes!
Creamy Garlic Dressing
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
3 to 5 cloves of fresh garlic
3 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
2 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley
1 tsp Pink Himalayan Salt
1/2-1tsp Dijon mustard
1 Tbsp raw agave nectar
Throw all of these ingredients in a blender and blend until completely emulsified. Serve over your favorite salad. Oh and when you make a salad, here's a few new things to add to it. Add toasted nuts and seeds(pumpkin and sunflower seed, walnuts, pecans.) Also, adding sprouts to your salad really makes it more flavorful. I have learned these few tricks while doing this cleanse and I have loved it!
I love creamed spinach. I mean love it. I didn't eat it very often because it was made with cream cheese and other fatty things. Well, last night I tried this recipe called Coconut Collard Greens, and it tasted just like creamed spinach! I promise, it is SO good!!!
Coconut Collard Greens
1 1/2 tsp extra virgin olive oil
1/4 yellow onion, diced
1/2 bunch collard greens, washed, stems removed, and cut into 1/2 strips
1/4 cup coconut milk
Pink Himalayan Salt to taste
Saute onion and olive oil until tender. Add collard greens and saute for a minute. Add coconut milk and saute for 10-15 minutes until tender. Add salt to to taste. This serves 1 person so adjust for your family as necessary. :)
Both of the recipes are from the Ultimate Reset cookbook. I hope you enjoy!
