Well hello again!
Hello all! I've been lacking in the ole blog department lately. There were tons of times where I thought, "I should blog this or that," but I just didn't do it. I'm going to make this blog not only a recipe blog, but also a place where I can document and shout praises to the Lord for the awesome things He's created.
As I study Anatomy and Physiology, I am amazed over and over about the "awesomeness" of God. There are times where I sit in class and all I can think about is how amazing our bodies are and how God SPOKE us into existence.
Genesis 1:27~So God created man in his own image,in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. 28 And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” 29 And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food. 30 And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so. 31 And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.

I keep thinking about these verses as I learn all this fascinating material. God created us in His image. He created us by speaking us into being. How GREAT is our God!
One fascinating thing I have learned is about the heart. Do you know that when a baby is in-utero, the heart is one of the first things to develop?!? It forms before the nervous system. The nervous system helps slow down and quicken the heart beat, however the heart develops before it. On top of this, the heart starts beating on its own! There's "nothing" to start it. My prof said, "I wonder how it starts without anything to start it?" (She believes in God, therefore she is hinting to the class that God starts it.)How cool is that! God gave me a prof that believes in Him, therefore, she doesn't teach evolution. On top of that, He created us perfectly and amazingly intricate~so intricate that we still don't know everything about the body!
If you've made it this far, I commend you! My awe of God and what He's done is grown each day by studying the human body. I hope that this might encourage or be a blessing to at least one person that reads this. May we remember to give ALL glory to the ONE who deserves it.
