Nursing School Week 3!!!!!

This week was so good!! I had school Tuesday-Friday. I got to hang out with my classmates twice this week which was awesome :) I got to do a SIM lab today. SIM lab is where there is "full size model" that is able to make movements, sweat, have heart sounds, lung breaths, pulses and many more things. Our teachers control this guy and make him do weird things to give us practice, without any stakes of making a fatal error. Our teachers are in one room controlling this "model," two students are in the room with the model and the rest of us are in another room watching what our classmates are doing. We can hear and see everything(through cameras and a TV screen) that is going on in the room with the model and learn how to handle the situations. Anyways, it was great. I got to wear scrubs this week. Y'all, scrubs make nursing ten thousand times better. They are like pajamas/scrubs/and your most comfortable pants rolled into one. You know how nice it is to not have to wonder what I'm going to wear?? WONDERFUL!!!! I got my pink stethoscope this week and it's beautiful. I got another color and it was terrible. I thought that I could live with the color and the more I thought about it, the more I decided that I didn't like it. So I sent it back and got the pink one and I'm in love with it. It sounds amazing and I cannot wait to use it on thousands of patients. My classmates are great. Nursing school is great. I look forward to going to school every day to soak up all of this information. First big test next week. Nervous, but I know the Lord's gotten me this far, and He will help me continue. I'm off to eat some ice cream and chill. See ya next week!
